Job Summary

This role is for an IT Specialist focused on operations within the Central Control and Communication Technology and IT Infrastructure department of the Rhineland-Palatinate Police Headquarters for Operations, Logistics, and Technology (PP ELT) in Mainz. The specialist will be crucial in maintaining the operational readiness of approximately 14,000 police employees by managing the client-server landscape, Active Directory environment, and complex network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN, TCP/IP, Routing). Daily tasks include administration, Level 2 support, implementing group policies and security specifications, and collaborating closely with the state's central IT service provider (LDI). The position requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience, coupled with deep expertise in Microsoft systems, virtualization, and networking to ensure the continuous supply and functionality of IT hardware and software across 130 locations.
