This role involves serving as an Engineer within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), focusing on project management and client-side responsibilities for federal construction projects, particularly those with high security requirements, often involving building modifications within existing structures and ongoing operations. Key tasks include determining construction needs, creating initial and final project documentation (EBU, IPU, FPU), drafting scopes of work for external contractors, and overseeing their execution while managing project risks. The successful candidate will ensure quality, adherence to schedules, and cost control, utilizing strong knowledge of German construction regulations (VOB, HOAI, RBBau). This is a demanding role requiring long-term professional experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex technical and administrative challenges within a high-security federal environment.

Completed university of applied sciences or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences, specialized in Electrical and Information Technology or Communications Technology, or an equivalent qualification

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience as an Engineer
  • Professional experience in planning and executing technically complex properties
  • Experience with conversion measures in existing buildings and during ongoing operations
  • Practical administrative experience and knowledge of VOB, VHB, VgV, and RBBau
  • Experience in fire protection and monument protection
