Job Summary

This role involves serving as the client representative and project manager for all electrical and information/communication technology systems within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Museum Island in Berlin. The successful candidate will work within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in an interdisciplinary team, focusing on complex technical building equipment (TGA) projects for historical and culturally significant buildings. Key responsibilities include managing external planning offices, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with standards (VDE, DIN, VOB), and overseeing commissioning, acceptance, and warranty control across various electrical systems like medium/low voltage, fire safety, security, photovoltaic, and specialized exhibition lighting. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine advanced electrical engineering expertise with the preservation of invaluable cultural heritage in a historically significant environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university of applied sciences or Bachelor's degree, specifically in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Practical professional experience in the planning and/or execution of technically demanding building equipment
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to external planners
  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary teamwork on complex construction projects

Additional

  • Must possess language skills at least at German C2 level (proof required if German is not the first language). For civil servants up to salary group A 12 BBesO, eligibility for the higher technical administrative service is required.
