Job Summary

This Research Associate/PhD Student role, based at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) within the TUD Dresden University of Technology, is an exciting opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of physics and biology. The successful candidate will join the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG 3120) to characterize the role of ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules in the pathogenesis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Day-to-day activities involve utilizing induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived motor neurons and advanced technologies like dCas13d-mediated proximity labeling and microfluidic devices to study RNP granule dynamics, size regulation, and protein exchange. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with an outstanding Master's degree in Biology or a related field, offering a structured training program, access to world-leading research infrastructure, and the chance to obtain a PhD in a vibrant, collaborative scientific community focused on bridging fundamental research and clinical therapies.
