This role is a fixed-term, full-time Academic Staff Member position at the University of Potsdam, focusing on Growth, Integration, and Sustainable Development within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will primarily conduct independent research toward a PhD in a core area of the professorship, focusing on macroeconomics, growth, distribution theories, and short-term macroeconomic dynamics using quantitative methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching bachelor's and master's level economics courses (in German and English), supervising students in exercises, seminars, and thesis work, and dedicating at least one-third of the working time to deep scientific work. Key qualifications include an above-average university degree in Economics or a comparable scientific field, strong knowledge of macroeconomics and empirical economic research, and excellent analytical skills, along with fluency in both German and English.
