Job Summary

This role requires a dedicated Automation Project Engineer to manage and coordinate automation resources for significant Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects at a multipurpose production facility in Muttenz. Day-to-day activities involve leading technical aspects of major projects, managing minor automation infrastructure projects, and providing technical leadership. You will work closely with the Project Manager to define scope, estimate costs, and ensure timely delivery within strict safety parameters. A core responsibility includes managing a team of automation programmers, overseeing software development (SDS creation), quality assurance, and monitoring weekly progress. Furthermore, you will be crucial in organizing and managing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities, supporting commissioning, and managing the successful handover of process control and safety systems to the site engineering and production teams. Required Skills

Education

Technical degree in Automation Engineering

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in building a new DeltaV Class Library.
  • Several years of experience with IEC 61131, IEC 61512, and Control Systems.
  • Professional experience in technical change documentation and risk analysis.
