Job Summary

This role is for a Technical Project Manager based at Syngenta's multipurpose production site in Muttenz, focusing on planning and executing critical capital investment projects across Northern Switzerland. You will own the full project lifecycle, from initiation and scope definition to start-up and final documentation, ensuring timely implementation within agreed cost, quality, and safety parameters. A key aspect involves translating complex business needs into viable engineering options, managing trade-offs, and ensuring solutions comply with stringent HSE and business requirements. This position requires strong leadership, a hands-on field presence to monitor construction activities, and expertise in applying advanced project management processes, risk analysis, and change control techniques within the highly regulated Agrochemical, Pharma, or Chemical sectors.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in a technical field, ideally Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent education is also required.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in project management, preferably within the Agrochemical, Pharma, or Chemical industry Experience in monitoring construction projects covering the complete project life cycle Professional experience in multinational companies Experience of leading external resources Solid understanding of maintenance principles and process risk analysis
