Job Summary
This role involves supporting and developing data analysis software crucial for the financial administration, primarily used in tax audits and investigations. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining data analysis tools like CaseWare IDEA and Microsoft PowerBI, and utilizing programming skills (Python and IDEA Script/Visual Basic 6) to develop and maintain audit macros and analytical tools that enhance team efficiency. Key responsibilities include handling support requests, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating solutions with internal experts and external software vendors. The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT or a related field, possesses strong technical understanding, and demonstrates proficiency in an object-oriented programming language. This position offers exceptional flexibility, job security in the public service, and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the digitalization of Germany's financial administration, with a planned relocation to a modern new building in Kaarst by mid-2026.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university of applied sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree in Information Technology or a related field with an IT focus. Equivalent skills and relevant professional experience are also considered.

- Must be able to work at the Düsseldorf location (relocating to Kaarst by mid-2026) or Paderborn. Must possess strong analytical and communicative abilities.
