Job Summary

This role involves supporting the digitalization of Germany's financial administration by managing software procurement and licensing for over 30,000 users across 137 service points. The specialist will be responsible for selecting and procuring IT infrastructure software, adhering to public procurement regulations, and ensuring compliance with contractual license agreements. Key daily tasks include license tracking, monitoring, optimization, and maintaining the inventory of acquired software licenses within a Software Asset Management framework. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with external vendors and various state financial authorities. Required Skills

Education

Completed university of applied sciences, Bachelor's, or Diploma degree in Information Technology or a related IT field; alternatively, equivalent skills and relevant professional experience, e.g., vocational training as an IT Specialist (Application Development or System Integration) or IT Business Management Assistant.

Experience

  • Knowledge in software licensing or license management
