Job Summary

This permanent position at the State Office for Environment (LfU) in Potsdam involves leading the Finance and Grant Management team for the Water Management division. The Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the financial planning and budgetary management of funds derived from seven different sources, acting simultaneously as an approval body and a funding recipient. A core function is conceptualizing and implementing associated budget processes and providing comprehensive budgetary reporting. The role requires serving as the central financial contact point for internal LfU departments, relevant ministries (MLUV), water associations, and the ILB. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree or Master's degree in Administrative Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent fields, or eligibility for the higher general administrative service.

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience in Grant and Budgetary Law
  • Experience in the field of water management funding instruments (ideally)
  • Experience with coordinating activities and/or establishing new organizational processes (advantageous)
  • Driving experience

Languages

German (Fluent)
