Job Summary

This role at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried, Munich, focuses on the critical management of hazardous materials and waste disposal within a leading international research environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent collection, sorting, and precise documentation of chemical laboratory waste (solvents, chemicals, batteries, etc.). Key daily tasks include ensuring the operational readiness and safety of the central chemical and waste storage area (Ex-zone), organizing specialized waste disposal, and preparing and monitoring hazardous goods transport via road (ADR) and air (IATA). The position also involves acting as the Radiation Protection Officer for radioactive waste collection. Candidates should have a relevant vocational qualification, practical experience with chemicals or logistics, and be prepared for training in hazardous goods transport. Required Skills

Experience
