As the Head of Water Chemistry, you will take on a strategic and technical leadership role, managing an extensive environmental laboratory focused on chemical analysis and overseeing a team of over 80 scientific and technical staff. Key responsibilities include strategic development of the research area, budget control, resource planning, and ensuring the highest quality in analytical services and research projects. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a profound background in water chemistry and chemical analytics. You will also be responsible for client acquisition, project management, and representing the institute in expert committees through presentations and publications, making this a highly visible and impactful position within the organization's extended management.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Chemistry, ideally with a PhD, or comparable training and professional experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in water chemistry and chemical analytics

  • Experience representing organizations in expert committees and through publications
