Job Summary
This senior leadership role involves shaping the future of water supply at TZW, one of the world's leading water institutes. The Head of Department will strategically and technically lead a large environmental laboratory and a team of over 80 scientific and technical employees. Key responsibilities include managing personnel and budget, furthering the research domain, acquiring new analytical services and research projects, and ensuring high technical quality and customer orientation. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in water chemistry and chemical analytics, coupled with proven strategic thinking and leadership qualities. This is a highly responsible, future-proof position offering structured onboarding and competitive compensation within a non-profit competence center dedicated to sustainable water solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Chemistry (ideally PhD) or comparable qualification and professional experience
Experience
- Professional experience in a comparable role or leadership capacity
- Demonstrated expertise and qualification in water chemistry and chemical analytics
- Experience in customer service, negotiation, and acquisition of research projects
