Job Summary

This role supports the Tumor Biology and Vaccines unit, focusing on developing innovative cancer immunotherapies using preclinical mouse tumor models. The successful candidate will leverage an understanding of cancer and immune cell metabolism to explore and improve state-of-the-art treatments, such as RNA lipoplex-based vaccination and metabolic reprogramming of T cells. Day-to-day activities include the planning, execution, and analysis of preclinical mouse experiments, tissue processing for in vitro analysis (including flow cytometry and Seahorse assays), and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Candidates must possess a university degree in Life Sciences or equivalent technical assistant apprenticeship, mandatory practical experience in animal experiments (including drug administration and blood collection), and the FELASA function A qualification. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Life Sciences or related fields, OR apprenticeship as a technical assistant; FELASA function A (former FELASA category B) or similar qualification.

Experience

  • Practical experience in conducting animal experiments (mandatory)
  • Capability in performing standard techniques (i.e., drug administration via i.v., i.p., s.c.; blood collection)
  • Experience in cell culture and in vitro assays (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge in conducting metabolic assays (desirable)
