Job Summary

This role involves managing the operation, maintenance, and fault resolution for the subway's complex electrical infrastructure, specifically focusing on rectifier substations (Gleichrichterwerke). Day-to-day tasks include handling the operational management of traction power systems, leading challenging project planning and construction management tasks, and conducting negotiations with internal departments and external contractors. The engineer will also be responsible for creating tender documents, overseeing procurement, and executing projects within their domain. A key technical task involves planning and executing short-circuit tests in traction power and energy supply networks to ensure short-circuit safety. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering or equivalent experience, possesses fluent German skills (C2 level), and ideally has initial experience with various voltage levels (low, high, and DC systems). Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Energy or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge based on many years of professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or energy technology (required if no degree)
  • Initial experience with electrical systems of various voltage levels (low, high, and DC systems) (preferred)
  • Experience in managing challenging project planning and construction management tasks
