Job Summary

As a Geoinformation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs for topographical and thematic maps. Your daily tasks will involve defining the symbolization, generalization, and layout of these maps, followed by conducting thorough final corrections and quality assurance to ensure accuracy. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of cartographic principles. You will also be expected to participate in regular domestic business trips and continuous professional development programs. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diplom FH) in Cartography, Surveying / Geodesy, Geoinformatics, or a comparable geoscientific field

  • German citizenship required for civil servant status
  • Commitment to the liberal democratic basic order as per the German Basic Law
  • Agreement to participate in a medical examination
  • For civil servant appointment, generally not older than 50 years at the time of appointment
