Job Summary

As a Geoinformatics Engineer, you will be instrumental in the system administration and organization of server, storage, and data backup systems, with a strong focus on database systems. Your daily tasks will involve maintaining system integrity and high availability through regular patching, monitoring, and documentation. You will also leverage your IT expertise to support the consolidation and regeneration of IT systems within the Bundeswehr's Geoinformation Center. A key part of your role will be programming database-driven applications and exchange interfaces for various IT systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a critical defense-related field, with options for full-time or part-time work, including home office flexibility, and clear paths for career development within the public service.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in Geoinformatics, Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in applying database systems (desired)
  • Professional experience in administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems (desired)
  • Programming knowledge (desired)

Languages

German (Fluent)English (Basic)
