Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the military intelligence picture within the Cyber and Information Space (CIS) by analyzing threat potentials from foreign actors, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region with a focus on China. The successful candidate will develop and process complex foundational intelligence products and data, assessing capabilities, intentions, and courses of action of conflict parties, especially concerning electronic warfare and the electromagnetic environment. Key responsibilities include formulating complex information requirements, translating them into requests for information, and continuously monitoring and developing indicators for crisis early warning and NATO Indication and Warning. This position offers the opportunity to work as a civil servant, with options for full-time or part-time employment and potential for mobile work. It requires a strong background in IT-supported methods and database management, contributing to critical national and international security efforts.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW), including signals and electronic reconnaissance
  • Experience in complex research using open sources
  • Experience with NATO regulations and procedures
  • Experience in developing and processing military intelligence or military intelligence processes

Additional

  • Must possess German citizenship for civil servant appointment. Must commit to the liberal democratic basic order as per the Basic Law. Willingness to undergo a medical examination. Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü3 level required). Regular domestic and international business travel is required. Participation in regular and advanced training is required. For civil servant appointment, generally must not have reached 50 years of age at the time of appointment.
