Job Summary
This role involves pioneering research and development of cloud-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, specifically focusing on local Large Language Models (LLMs) deployed within a private cloud environment, aimed at transforming the German energy sector. The successful candidate will join an innovative team at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB) to develop groundbreaking AI solutions with real-world impact. Day-to-day tasks include developing cloud-native AI applications, contributing to scientific publications, and collaborating closely with leading companies in the energy industry. Key requirements include a scientific university degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics, professional software development experience, and advanced knowledge in areas like Full-Stack Development (Python/JavaScript/TypeScript), Applied AI (LLM deployment/optimization), MLOps, or Container Orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes). Scientific university degree, preferably with a focus on Computer Science or Business Informatics
Experience
- Professional experience in software development
- Advanced knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Full-Stack Development, Applied AI, ML Operations, Cloud-Native, or Container Orchestration
- Knowledge of the German energy industry (ideal)

- Temporary contract duration of three years; Must be eligible for public sector employment (Entgeltgruppe: 13 TV-L); Full-time position (40 hours/week).
