Job Summary

The Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI) is seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant/Scientific Officer to provide crucial support to the Managing Director and Administrative Head. This role involves actively participating in strategic and operational projects, coordinating internal committees and bodies, and establishing and maintaining collaborations within a globally networked research environment. Utilizing expertise in life sciences or biomedicine, the Officer will be responsible for drafting concepts, applications, and expert opinions, contributing to reporting, and managing the preparation and follow-up for scientific events, lectures, meetings, and appointment procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree (or equivalent experience/PhD) in life sciences, strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities in both English and German, and a proactive, results-oriented 'Can Do' approach.
