Job Summary

This role involves managing the technical operations and infrastructure of the Production Technology and Machining Laboratory within a major German university of applied sciences in Munich. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of advanced measurement equipment and machinery. Key duties include designing, constructing, and implementing new test rigs and systems, particularly supporting digital production and learning factory concepts. The successful candidate will also manage the lab’s IT infrastructure, supervise practical experiments, and mentor students conducting study and final theses. Furthermore, the role involves organizing and executing investigations for ongoing research projects. This position requires a Master Craftsman certification or Certified Technician qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering combined with at least three years of relevant professional experience, offering an attractive, permanent contract in the public service sector (TV-L pay grade 8) and professional development opportunities in a modern academic environment.
