Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Test Engineer, primarily focusing on the system-technical support of complex artillery systems, spanning the entire lifecycle from initial customer requirements through to operational use. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating comprehensive test and trial programs, meticulously analyzing the resulting data, and generating detailed reports. The engineer will also be responsible for adapting and developing system-specific measurement requirements and operating the systems during trials and demonstrations. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science, ideally complemented by initial professional experience. Essential skills include proficiency with measurement data acquisition and analysis systems, and familiarity with operating weapons or defense technology systems. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, technical understanding, excellent communication, and a willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally for testing purposes.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science. A technical apprenticeship is also advantageous.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience is desirable
  • Experience in the use of measurement data acquisition and analysis systems
  • Knowledge in the operation of weapons systems (Gunner/Commander) or defense technology systems

Additional

  • High willingness to travel for conducting trials on total system and component level, as well as test benches domestically and internationally.
