Job Summary

This role involves supporting a modern welfare association, operating 57 senior centers, by providing comprehensive IT administration and support to staff across the central office and various facilities. The IT Administrator will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of IT resources, including the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and conceptual design of both hardware and software. Key daily tasks include administering client-server application software, managing user accounts and access rights (including network administration), and implementing system changes and resource monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data security, emergency management, and support processes, and must demonstrate strong service orientation and clear communication skills to effectively resolve technical issues and collaborate with external service providers. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dortmund, offering flexible working hours and mobile work options.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in IT or equivalent; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker)

Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT Specialist (or comparable role)
  • In-depth expert knowledge in data backup and security
  • Expertise in emergency management and support processes
