Job Summary

This full-time, permanent IT Administrator role in Dortmund involves comprehensive support for the organization's IT infrastructure across headquarters and numerous facilities. The administrator will be responsible for the complete configuration, conception, deployment, and maintenance of software systems, including administration and installation on a client-server basis. Key daily tasks include managing user and access rights, network administration, implementing system changes, and performing resource monitoring. The role also requires proactive involvement in hardware and software procurement, installation, and providing first-level support, focusing on error analysis and resolution within the network topology. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, possess strong communication skills to explain technical issues simply, and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless IT operations and system integrity.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in IT or comparable qualification, OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT Administration or a comparable field
  • In-depth expert knowledge in data backup and security, cost-benefit analysis, and emergency management
  • Experience in soft- and hardware deployment and maintenance of specialized applications
