Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join a dynamic, international research team at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, focusing on translational and clinical cancer research. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support to scientists, contributing directly to investigator-initiated clinical trials and projects aimed at improving patient outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing and supporting complex laboratory procedures such as molecular biology, cell culture, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on tissue samples. A key task involves establishing and maintaining advanced 3D organoid cultures, alongside meticulous documentation, sample tracking, and laboratory inventory management. This position offers the chance to work independently in a supportive, fast-growing environment with access to cutting-edge equipment, making a direct impact on cancer research with strong clinical relevance. Candidates must possess completed laboratory technician training (BTA, MTA, CTA equivalent) and hands-on experience in relevant lab techniques, coupled with strong organizational and communication skills in both English and German.

Completed training as a laboratory technician (e.g., BTA, MTA, CTA) or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, and/or organoid culture
- Experience in animal research (considered an asset)
