Job Summary
This role supports the leadership of the Department of Systems Biology of Signal Transduction at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), which focuses on deciphering molecular mechanisms in cell communication relevant to tumor development. The Scientific Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and organizational tasks, including coordinating departmental and external meetings, conferences, and organizing business travel and expense reports. A key function involves supporting the preparation of scientific grant proposals and managing administrative processes for third-party funded projects, such as tracking reporting deadlines. The coordinator will also be involved in disseminating research results through platforms like LinkedIn and Bluesky, and creating necessary graphics. This position requires a university degree in Medicine or Natural Sciences, proficiency in MS Office, and fluent German and very good English skills, offering an opportunity to contribute to world-class cancer research in a flexible, family-friendly environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Medicine or Natural Sciences, or comparable qualification. PhD is advantageous.

- Must provide proof of immunity against measles (due to Infection Protection Act requirements). Position is initially limited to 2 years.
