Research Associate | Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (m/w/d)
Berliner Hochschule für Technik
Job Summary
This role involves working as a Research Associate within the "HyperHFS" research project, focused on developing an economically viable method for measuring and stabilizing the frequency of a single-mode laser. The associate will be responsible for setting up the necessary laser spectroscopic systems, developing measurement electronics, and programming the process control. A key part of the job is investigating the accuracy of the overall system and integrating this new component into an existing filtered Rayleigh Scattering (FRS) system used for measuring velocity, temperature, and density in gas flows, in collaboration with an industrial partner. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering and brings experience in three of five key areas, including laserspectroscopy, analog/digital electronics, signal processing, or programming. This fixed-term position, running from January 2026 to December 2027, offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge laser-optical system development in an academic environment.
