Job Summary
This role involves working as a Chemical-Technical Assistant within the VEGAS research facility at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on environmental analysis related to soil, groundwater, and contaminated site remediation. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory organization, conducting analytical determinations on water, solid, and soil samples using advanced instrumentation (including HPLC-HRMS, GC-MS, and ICP-OES), and performing physical-chemical parameter measurements (pH, TOC, etc.). Key requirements include a completed CTA qualification or equivalent, very good knowledge of instrumental analytical techniques, and proficiency in MS Office for data evaluation. Education
Completed training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in instrumental analytical techniques, especially HPLC, GC-FID/ECD, GC-MS, Ionenchromatography, ICP, and photometrics in environmental analysis
- Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry or Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) is advantageous
- Routine experience in data evaluation
