Job Summary

This Senior Software Engineer role within Zalando Marketing Services (ZMS) focuses on building and maintaining the critical, high-performance infrastructure for the Ad Marketplace platform. The engineer will design and implement scalable, resilient services capable of handling up to 4,000 requests per second with strict latency requirements (p99 of 25ms). Day-to-day responsibilities include leading technical projects from conception to delivery, promoting engineering excellence through clean code and robust observability, and innovating with real-time data processing pipelines to optimize ad delivery.
