Job Summary
This role involves strategic planning and hands-on administration of IT infrastructure for the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy, Nature Conservation, and Forests (TMUENF) and its subordinate National Natural Landscapes. The specialist will focus on desktop and server virtualization, network design, and firewall technologies, while also contributing to IT security and supporting other organizational units with IT-related inquiries. Key responsibilities include coordinating and managing the entire operational environment, addressing parliamentary and cabinet inquiries concerning IT, and developing procurement strategies. This position offers an opportunity to shape the IT landscape within a significant public authority, ensuring robust and secure information technology operations across various critical environmental and conservation domains.
Required Skills
Education
Scientific university degree (Diplom, Magister, Master) in an IT-related field (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics) OR a scientific university degree (Diplom, Magister, Master) in a natural science or engineering field with proven IT expertise through at least four semesters of study/modules or at least two years of professional experience in a higher service role.
