Job Summary

Join the newly established Regional Office for Natural Climate Protection in Thuringia as a Regional Manager, focusing on communication. In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting and implementing the Action Program for Natural Climate Protection (ANK) initiatives across Thuringia. Your day-to-day will involve extensive networking, coordinating public information campaigns, workshops, and events for diverse audiences, and fostering collaboration with political stakeholders, scientific institutions, and local partners. You will develop and execute communication strategies, identify synergies between various funding programs, and support project implementation, all aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and dialogue to enhance climate protection and biodiversity. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant environmental initiatives within a supportive team.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom (Uni), Master) in natural sciences, preferably Landscape Management and Geography, or in Communication Sciences and Environmental Sociology. Proof of equivalence for foreign degrees required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in nature conservation collaboration with land users
  • Professional experience in implementing projects funded by state, federal, or EU programs (desired)
  • Administrative experience (desired)

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Class B driving license required. Willingness to drive an official vehicle. Must provide proof of required qualifications through certificates, work references, or activity records. German language skills at C2 level are required. Located in Erfurt, Germany. The position is temporary until June 30, 2028.
