Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position within the Junior Research Group Bioenergetics of Self-Organization at the Cluster of Excellence "Physics of Life" (PoL) at TUD Dresden University of Technology focuses on a novel, highly interdisciplinary project investigating the bioenergetics of meiotic spindle self-organization. The successful candidate will use mouse oocytes as a model system, applying state-of-the-art metabolic imaging, confocal microscopy, and biophysical modeling to quantitatively map energy fluxes and ATP/ADP levels with subcellular resolution. The core goal is to understand how energy availability impacts spindle morphology and dynamics, and how metabolic perturbations contribute to chromosome segregation errors relevant to infertility. This role offers an opportunity to shape cutting-edge research at the intersection of biology, biochemistry, and physics within a world-class, interdisciplinary research environment in Dresden.
