Job Summary

This role involves working as a Scientific Officer within the German Center for Rail Traffic Research (DZSF), focusing specifically on environmental and energy-related research within the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) research network. The core responsibilities include designing, executing, supervising, and evaluating research projects centered on traffic-related pollutant emissions and immissions. The successful candidate will independently investigate scientific questions, communicate findings to stakeholders, and participate in relevant national and international scientific committees and working groups. This position requires a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Engineering and proven ability in scientific work and research project management. The role is offered as a part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed-term contract until the end of 2030, with the possibility of using the research results for an external doctoral degree.
