Job Summary

This is a 36-month, 65% part-time research position at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, focusing on ecological restoration within the 'AgriRestore' project. The successful candidate will develop methods for data collection and analysis concerning the restoration of grassland and permanent vegetation structures in agricultural landscapes, specifically focusing on vegetation and soil effects. Key tasks include conducting fieldwork, analyzing long-term time series data on floristic development, biodiversity, and ecosystem services, and presenting findings at international conferences. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Conservation, Biology, Ecology, or a comparable field, possess strong knowledge of vegetation and restoration ecology, and have proven statistical and analytical skills. Education

Completed scientific university degree (Diplom (University) or Master's) in Conservation, Biology, Ecology, or comparable fields

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting fieldwork (e.g., vegetation surveys, structural mapping)
  • Very good knowledge in vegetation and restoration ecology
  • Very good statistical and analytical skills
  • Ideally, knowledge of relevant animal groups (pollinating insects, etc.)
