Job Summary

This specialist role within the Marine Service Team focuses on supporting national and international customers by programming, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems aboard ships and boats. Day-to-day tasks involve the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical drive motors and Siemens Energy marine systems, including implementing retrofit solutions, conducting plant tests, and managing customer acceptance. The role requires meticulous documentation of deployments and proactive liaison between customers and the sales/engineering departments to drive improvements and identify new business opportunities. Candidates must bring a background in Mechatronics or Industrial Mechanics, strong knowledge of quality and safety standards (VDE, CE), and be prepared for extensive international travel, working flexibly and independently for periods up to 3.5 months in challenging marine environments. Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician or Industrial Mechanic, supplemented by comprehensive job-related further training.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in comparable activities
  • Professional experience in maintenance and repair of electrical drive motors in a marine environment
  • Experience in commissioning and maintenance of industrial/marine plants
  • Experience working flexibly in worldwide deployments
