Job Summary

This leadership role involves spearheading and developing the Data Management function within the National Once-Only-Technical System (NOOTS) at FITKO, the Federal IT Cooperation unit driving Germany's digital administration. The successful candidate will lead and mentor a small team of 2–5 employees, fostering their professional growth while actively shaping core technical concepts and structures for data management. Key responsibilities include coordinating all data-related activities concerning NOOTS within FITKO, collaborating closely with the Federal Office of Administration (BVA) and other partners to advance shared federal data management initiatives, and confidently representing NOOTS Data Management in public forums and committees. This position requires a creative, self-organized professional with experience in team leadership and digital project steering, combining the stability of public administration with innovative methods to modernize government services.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Information Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Minimum five years of professional experience in a correspondingly qualified activity (alternative to Master's degree)
  • Initial experience in leading small teams (2–5 people)
  • Experience in steering digitalization projects
  • Experience in collaboration with public authorities
