Job Summary

This role is a permanent position within the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach am Main, focusing on the technical support and maintenance of operational and building technology, particularly within the German Meteorological Computing Center (DMRZ). The specialist will be crucial in ensuring the continuous operation of electrical systems, including medium-voltage, emergency power, and UPS systems. Key responsibilities involve participating in the operation and maintenance of electro-technical installations, assisting with hazard prevention systems, overseeing external specialist companies, and contributing to construction projects. The ideal candidate must have a relevant technical background, such as an electrician or mechatronics technician qualification, possess the certification as a qualified electrician (Elektrofachkraft), and be willing to participate in an on-call duty system, ensuring rapid response to the service location.
