Job Summary
This role is a full-time, fixed-term position until April 30, 2029, within the Department of Medicine, Pharmacological Institute at Philipps University, focusing on molecular mechanisms controlling regeneration, tumor development, and progression in epithelial tissues. The Technical Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of state-of-the-art laboratory methods, including cell culture (cell lines, primary cells, organoids, tissue sections), molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, genotyping, in situ hybridization), and histological work (tissue processing, sectioning, immunostaining). Additionally, the assistant will perform biochemical assays like Western Blot, participate in animal experiments, and assist with teaching activities, such as preparing and supporting practical courses. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant technical assistant qualification (e.g., BTA) or equivalent experience, strong expertise in core biological disciplines, excellent teamwork, and high motivation.
