Job Summary

The Head of Technical Operations Service Center at the University of Würzburg will take on a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the secure, efficient, and smooth operation of all university buildings and technical facilities, ranging from historic lecture halls to modern high-performance laboratories. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading a team of 75 employees, managing external service providers, ensuring operational safety, driving energy efficiency, and planning and monitoring maintenance and modernization projects. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background in fields like Supply Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facility Management, coupled with proven leadership experience in technical building management. This role offers significant scope for strategic influence, especially in advancing sustainability and digitalization initiatives across the campus infrastructure, serving over 4,500 employees and 25,000 students.
