Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technician to join the Center for Building Materials and Materials Testing (cbm) at the Technical University of Munich. The core responsibility involves the independent organization, preparation, and execution of chemical analyses, primarily focusing on building materials for research and testing contracts. Day-to-day tasks include the autonomous management of analytical equipment, setting up and monitoring complex experimental facilities, and mentoring students and apprentices during practical training and thesis work. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical-Technical Assistant, coupled with practical experience and strong foundational knowledge in inorganic chemistry and instrumental analysis. Specific expertise in techniques like Infrared Spectroscopy, ICP-OES, GC-MS, or Ion Chromatography is highly beneficial. This position offers an engaging opportunity within a leading German research institute, initially based in Pasing before relocating to Garching in October 2026.
