Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position within the Donnersbergkreis District Administration involves critical IT infrastructure management. The System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and administration of firewalls across the main administration and external offices, ensuring robust network segmentation, and managing the entire hardware infrastructure, including servers, storage, and client systems. A key component of the role is participating in and implementing various IT projects and managing the terminal server landscape. Candidates should possess a completed vocational qualification as an IT Specialist or equivalent, coupled with desirable knowledge in firewall configuration, network technology, Active Directory, server management, and Citrix. The role requires strong organizational skills, teamwork, assertiveness, and flexibility to work outside regular hours when necessary, offering the stability and benefits of a public sector employer.
