This role involves joining the DFG-funded research initiative "Speech Processing in Health Sciences (SPEECHES)" at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg, focusing on advancing speech processing for diagnostic assistance and health-related human-machine interactions. The successful candidate will develop, prototype, and evaluate speech-based user interfaces, specifically targeting individuals with dementia. Key responsibilities include planning and executing user-centric studies, analyzing interaction and speech data, and documenting/publishing research findings in specialized media and international conferences. This position actively supports the pursuit of a PhD at the Center for Applied Informatics, requiring a Master's degree in a relevant field like Media Informatics or Human-Machine Interaction, along with experience in user-centered design and multimodal interface prototyping. Experience

  • Completed Master's degree in Media Informatics, Human-Machine Interaction, Human Factors, Software Engineering, or a comparable field

  • Experience in conducting User Experience studies or strong interest and willingness to learn complex scientific subjects
  • Knowledge in the design and prototypical implementation of multimodal interfaces, especially speech-based interaction systems

Additional
