Job Summary

This Research Associate position, based in Nuremberg and Kronach, focuses on developing and implementing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, specifically for the "Intelligent Root Run-out Detection and Surface Detection for Wood Pre-processing (IWob)" R&D project. The role involves conceptualizing and implementing AI solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, applying Machine Learning methods, and integrating solutions within a robotics context. The associate will be responsible for data collection, preparation for automated analysis, and building and maintaining a robust AI infrastructure for large-scale data analysis, ensuring compliance with data protection and security standards. Key requirements include a Master's degree in a relevant technical field, strong proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning, familiarity with agile development and version control, and excellent German (C1) and English (C1) language skills.
