Job Summary

The Onsite IT Support Technician acts as a crucial relief staff member, covering planned vacation and short-notice sick leave across up to five client teams within the Darmstadt and greater Rhein-Main area (up to 60 km radius). Day-to-day responsibilities involve handling, processing, and meticulously documenting incidents via a ticketing system while strictly adhering to SLAs. The role requires providing expert onsite and remote support for Windows end devices, setting up, relocating, and configuring IT workstations, and instructing users on hardware and software usage. Key qualifications include expert knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite, along with a basic understanding of networking, printer environments, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Microsoft Azure. Success in this position demands a structured, proactive, and customer-oriented approach, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English, and the ability to self-organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
