Job Summary

This role involves supporting the lead acceptance inspector in the preparation and execution of acceptance testing for Control and Safety Technology (LST) systems, crucial for railway infrastructure projects. Day-to-day tasks include assessing LST installations, ensuring strict compliance with technical and legal regulations (such as EBO), and verifying the correct use of approved hardware and software components. The assistant is expected to contribute to the creation of inspection notes and expert reports while maintaining quality assurance throughout the planning and construction phases. The ideal candidate must possess an electrical engineering vocational qualification (e.g., Mechatronics or Electronics Technician), coupled with at least two years of professional experience in LST (maintenance, construction supervision, or installation). Flexibility for occasional night and weekend work on construction sites is required, along with a commitment to continuous professional development in evolving railway technologies (e.g., ESTW, ETCS).

Required Skills

Education

Electrical Engineering vocational training (e.g., Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering). Ideally, State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • More than 2 years of professional experience in Control and Safety Technology (LST)
  • Experience in LST areas such as maintenance, construction supervision, or installation

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Health suitability clearance according to EBO §48 requirements. Willingness to work occasionally on weekends, holidays, or nights on construction sites.
