Job Summary

This role focuses on the technical inspection and verification of signaling and control systems (LST) within railway infrastructure projects. As a key member of the engineering team, you will perform plan examinations and technical audits of systems to ensure compliance with legal regulations, technical standards, and safety requirements. A significant part of this position involves a structured two-year mentorship program designed to qualify you as an officially recognized inspection expert. Your daily tasks will include evaluating hardware and software components, creating expert reports, and ensuring quality control from the planning phase through to construction. This position is particularly attractive for experienced planning engineers looking to advance their careers into high-level auditing and certification. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field of study.

Experience

  • More than 3 years of professional experience as a Planning Engineer in the field of Signaling and Control Technology (LST)
  • Experience in technical solution analysis and project consulting
  • Proven track record of independent and structured work within engineering teams
  • Readiness to undergo a 2-year mentorship program to qualify as a certified Plan Inspector

Additional

  • Health suitability according to EBO §48 (Railway Construction and Operation Regulations) is required. A Class B driver's license is ideally required. Willingness to travel to office locations in Kassel, Hannover, Recklinghausen, or Hamburg as needed.
