As a Testing Assistant for Control and Safety Systems (LST), you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and safety of railway infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities include supporting acceptance testers in the preparation and execution of inspections, assessing technical systems for compliance with legal and technical regulations, and verifying the correct implementation of hardware and software components. You will work across a spectrum of technologies, ranging from legacy systems to cutting-edge innovations like ETCS and Digital Interlockings (DSTW). This role is highly dynamic, involving on-site inspections at construction sites and providing technical consultancy to project engineers. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electronics (e.g., Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering) or a comparable field. Ideally, further qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • More than 2 years of professional experience in the field of Control and Safety Technology (LST)
  • Experience in maintenance, construction supervision, or assembly within the railway sector
  • Proven experience in independent and structured working within a team environment
  • Experience in supporting technical assessments and creating inspection reports

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Medical fitness according to EBO §48 (Railway Construction and Operating Regulations) is mandatory. Flexibility for occasional night, weekend, and holiday work on construction sites is required. A Class B driver's license is preferred.
