Job Summary

This is a key leadership position within the Gütersloh District administration, where the Head of Finance Department will manage a team of 22 employees across two sub-sections. The core responsibilities involve organizing and executing the entire district budget process, overseeing financial reporting, and representing the budget in dealings with local cities and municipalities according to § 55 of the District Code NRW. Furthermore, the role requires active participation in the digital transformation of the financial sector, serving as the central interface for internal/external auditing, and developing the district’s Tax Compliance Management System. Candidates must bring profound leadership experience and deep expertise in budgeting, accounting, and municipal commercial law. Required Skills

Education

Qualification for the career path of career group 2.2, general administrative service, or willingness to undergo modular qualification for LG 2.2, alternatively a Master of Public Administration/Management, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience
