Job Summary

This role involves supporting the State Office for Environment, Agriculture, and Geology (LfULG) by focusing on IT infrastructure planning, provision, and project management within their data centers. The specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing new IT infrastructure for EU funding-related IT applications, ensuring integration into existing data center structures while adhering to BSI IT Baseline Protection standards. Key daily tasks include defining and introducing necessary operating processes, creating operational documentation, guiding the operations team, and coordinating external service providers. The position also requires active participation in IT project management and assisting with procurement procedures for new IT systems. Candidates should possess a scientific university degree (Master/Diploma) in IT or a related engineering field, coupled with professional experience in operating modern IT systems and knowledge of current operating systems (MS Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
