Job Summary

This role involves planning and implementing a new IT infrastructure within the data center for the State Office for Environment, Agriculture, and Geology (LfULG) in Saxony. As an IT Architect and Project Manager, you will be responsible for integrating new specialized IT procedures for EU funding into existing data center structures while adhering to BSI IT-Grundschutz security standards. Your daily activities will include conceptualizing and defining operational processes, creating technical documentation, and coordinating external service providers. You will also lead infrastructure and load testing and support procurement processes for IT systems. This position is unique for its focus on public welfare and the opportunity to work in a highly specialized government agency. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master/Diploma) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, or a comparable technical/engineering field. Accredited Master's degrees from Universities of Applied Sciences are accepted.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and operating complex IT infrastructures
  • Experience in the implementation of complex specialized IT procedures
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers and project management
  • Professional experience in building and operating container infrastructures (Kubernetes) is preferred
  • Several years of relevant professional experience required if holding a technical degree or equivalent qualifications
